January closing

Due to some unforeseen personal circumstances, the Etsy shop is going to be on a temporary hiatus from tonight... Elly Maggy Vintage will be back, most likely in mid-February, with bundles of new listings (a few have already appeared since my last post and I've been stockpiling lots more treats for 2016). Plus, I'll be selling off some modern, vintage-inspired clothing via a special sale over on instagram. Stay tuned for news and thanks for following in the meantime.

WINTER VACATION!

Elly Maggy Vintage will be taking a little early winter vacation and closing from 12pm on Tuesday 3rd November until Sunday 13th December. The shop will be back in mid-December with lots of new vintage items, including a special collection of mid-century dresses, some very pretty 30s silk nightwear, retro homewares and all sorts of other goodies I pick up along the way. I'll post details here when the shop re-opens its virtual doors... Thank you and see you soon!

Shipping delay

Just back with a quick post to let you know that unfortunately there'll be a shipping delay in the shop for a week starting tomorrow. Due to various tricky logistics, any orders placed during this time will ship on the 14th.

BUT in better news - weather-allowing - I'll be taking lots of shop photos during this time so expect some big ol' updates soon. 

I have a whole range of goodies waiting to be photographed from the 1920s to the 1960s!

Shop Vacation

A wee holiday notice! Elly Maggy Vintage will be on an early summer vacation from Monday 3pm GMT until 12th July. So, any final orders should be placed tomorrow / Monday morning to ensure shipping and I'll be back in July with some extra special listings and the third part of my summer collection update... featuring swimsuits for summertime beach pyramids with friends! Yippee!

  Hello! It's been a wee while since I posted here but I'm stopping by to let you know that Elly Maggy Vintage is back with a special summer dress collection... These dresses have all been chosen for wearing on long, warm days out in the sunshine.  With the weather warming up this week (at least momentarily!), I've started to gather together lots of cool, airy pieces and these dresses make up the first of three planned summer shop updates. I'm already working on the second, which features a selection of cheery cotton separates. I'll be posting details here as soon as the new listings are up so keep an eye on this ol' space.

There is a little more to-ing and fro-ing planned for the first few months of the year but then I hope to be listing lots and lots of lovely vintage for you and blogging more frequently! Over the past year, this blog has tended to be a place where I post shop updates but I'm wondering about changing that a little bit. What kind of posts would you like to see on this ol' blog? Don't be shy, all suggestions welcome!! I'll also be hunting for more vintage soon (although I have plenty waiting to be listed too!) - if there are items / eras that you love more than others, let me know! Finally... A mini shop update!!

As hinted at in my last blog post, I've been a bit overwhelmed by external circumstances over the past few months and the shop has sadly taken a backseat. At the end of September, I moved out into a new place - it is not so far from where I have been living over the past two years but it has taken quite a while to get settled in (and have our internet installed!!!). 

I'm finally beginning to get organised and have some pretty new listings to share... with more to come soon! Despite moving home, I still have access to the yard where I take pictures for the shop, so I will continue taking photos there, whenever the winter clouds lift. Hope you enjoy these new pieces...The blouse is a beauty!

100 sales and a pop-up sale

Things have been a little quiet around here... I'll post more news when I get chance but rest assured that I've got tons of vintage goodies to share when things are settled again! In the meantime, Elly Maggy Vintage reached a special milestone of 100 sales when I shipped this 80s leather purse earlier today. I'm having a wee pop-up sale to celebrate. Accessories Update - Part II

Well, the final part of the accessories shop update didn't go quite as planned yesterday - I sat down to my computer to find it had well and truly crashed! But, several hours of tinkering later, it was back to normal and these items have all been listed in the shop. Looking at my last post, I realise I've been absent from this ol' blog for two whole months now - I thought it was just a couple of weeks! I wanted to stop by to say that I haven't forgotten the shop... Far from it! I really miss working on listings and adding new items to Elly Maggy Vintage. There are some other matters that have needed a lot of my attention over the past few months and it looks set to stay that way for the next month or so. I'm afraid the shop is having to take a backseat while I try to get things sorted. 

But I do hope to be back soon!! I have lots of pretty pieces patiently waiting to be photographed and I'm eager to start working on summertime listings once the dust settles (all being well!). In the meantime, the shop is open and I'm shipping out orders so have a browse around... and take a little look at this brilliant 60s tassle tunic - the last piece I listed! I'm looking forward to listing and posting here more regularly again soon.

 Happy New Year from Elly Maggy Vintage! I took a break from the shop over the Christmas holiday but I'll be ready to list new items over the next week or so. There are also a couple of shop announcements coming this month so I'll be posting details here. 

It's been great selling vintage over the past year and, although things have been pretty hectic with a changing work schedule and some time spent away, it's been very rewarding to hear from customers enjoying their new items of clothing. Shop Update

I'm pleased to finally have a mini shop update to share with you! In between a busy time at work, a never-ending winter cold and some very uncooperative weather, the shop has been placed on the back burner... but I hope that is set to change!
