Spring Separates: Brights

The sun has been making a sporadic appearance this past week so I've been busying myself with getting Spring separates into the Etsy shop. Here are a few colorful pieces that have just arrived... with a pastel update on the way! I hope you enjoy these colorful pieces. I've been enjoying the oversize 90s pieces that have been popping up on Etsy and in my instagram feed so I'm hoping to add more pieces like the flax blouse and Kenzo jacket in the coming months!

Spring Stripes

1970s skinny rib poloneck

 It's been a while but three new pieces have just landed in the shop - a striped skinny rib poloneck from the 1970s and a pair of matching stripey silk wiggle dresses. The dresses date from around the early '60s but have a definite nod to the '20s with their drop-waisted bodices and low tie belts. Click on the links for more photographs and sizing information.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, the start of this year has been full of to-ing and fro-ing (far more than I like!) and Elly Maggy Vintage will be on a mini hiatus next week while I move home. However, things should be much calmer after that and I aim to be listing very regularly from Easter onwards. I'm still preparing my haul of goodies from my last Stateside trip and have been busy adding more pieces to my 'to list' and 'to mend' piles so look out for some very special April shop updates. I'm excited to share my finds here with you.

Springtime favourites

It's been a fairly gloomy day here but through the grey and drizzle and dark there has been the odd burst of sunshine... which has put me in mind of warmer weather and the coming months. So, while I'm still shivering indoors, I've dug around on Etsy and put together a selection of some sweet vintage favourites for when Springtime finally arrives...

Spring Denim

Last May, I added some denim items to the shop and now Spring has come around again, I thought it was time to list a few more! Click on the links for details.

Shop update

 Over the weekend, I updated Elly Maggy Vintage with four new listings, all recent finds for the shop. There are two 1970s scarves - one from Liberty of London and one from St Michael - as well as a lovely 70s shirt dress and a 1960s cape. The latter was a very strange coincidence; I sold a belted cape from my wardrobe just a couple of months ago and, when I came across this blue one, I was surprised to see that it came from the same Welsh woollen mill!

It has been lovely Spring weather over the past few days and I was able to get out and take quite a lot of photographs for the shop. I have a busy week ahead but as soon as I get chance to write up more listings, there will be more shop updates appearing here!

Around the yard

Some photographs I took around the yard last weekend...

I took advantage of the sunshine to take lots of pictures for the shop... although I won't be using all of them. Here's a bag I thrifted and photographed... and then decided to keep! Whoops!

But no matter how tempting the other items were, they WILL be making their way into the shop. Even this beautiful green and gold taffeta dress will be up for sale soon. Expect an update any day now!

Spring Travels

I'm back from my trip with a few photos and lots more Spring pieces to add to the shop. I didn't have much time to look for things while I was away but after getting back on Saturday, I walked to the post office to ship an order and had quite a bit of luck on my way home. Listings will be up in the next few days!
